Student Awards

Each year MAPA recognizes two Minnesota PA Students who go truly above and beyond as the PA Student and PA Student Advocate of the Year. Nominated by faculty and peers, these individuals already help reshape the PA profession in the state as students. 

PA Student of the Year

Nominate a Minnesota PA student who demonstrates exceptional leadership, mentorship, professionalism, and service to their program, community, and the PA profession. Any faculty member, peer, preceptor, or community member may submit a nomination.

All nominees must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate (within the last 6 months) and in good standing at an accredited Minnesota PA program.

PA Student Advocate of the Year

This award recognizes a Minnesota PA student who demonstrates exceptional advocacy for the PA profession, patient populations, public health, or health equity. Nominees should show a strong commitment to advancing the PA role, supporting legislative or organizational initiatives, or promoting PA visibility within their communities.

Any faculty, preceptor, peer, or community member may submit a nomination. Nominees must be currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited Minnesota PA program.
