MAPA Member of the Month November 2026

This month, we’re proud to recognize Ronda Bertsch, PA-C, a graduate of Augsburg College’s Class of 2001 who has dedicated more than 25 years to providing compassionate family medicine care.

Early in Ronda’s career, it wasn’t uncommon for PAs to spend just as much time explaining the profession as they did providing care for patients. Watching the profession grow into the respected and essential role it holds today has been one of the most rewarding parts of her journey. For Ronda, though, the heart of medicine has never changed. She believes the best care begins with strong patient relationships built on trust, compassion, and listening. While staying current with medical knowledge is critical, she knows that offering patients an open ear, a caring heart, and the gift of time can be just as meaningful.

Outside of the clinic, Ronda treasures time with her husband, Seth, and their two teenage sons, Connor and Aiden. Whether cheering them on at Ultimate Frisbee, curling, and baseball, relaxing at the family cabin, or enjoying theater and live music, she embraces the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance—and even hopes to return to the stage someday. Ronda’s advice for fellow PAs: “Never lose sight of the person behind the patient. Medicine is about more than diagnoses and treatments—it’s about building relationships that make a lasting difference.”

Thank you, Ronda, for your dedication to your patients, your profession, and the PA community. Her employer is North Memorial Health Clinic Blaine
